I am so proud of Maddie and her decision to get Baptized and become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.I remember a few weeks ago when we were up at the Oquirrh Temple getting Maddies Baptism pictures taken by our sweet neighbor Mindy,we were in between intakes, I was trying to warm Maddies hands, she was such a trooper to take pictures in the middle of January in 30 degree weather outside in a dress,Anyways as I was warming her hands she looked up at me with her beautiful brown eyes looking into mine and said "Mom,I'm so excited to get Baptized!" Well I was so overcome with love and happiness that Maddie wanted to make the righteous decision to be Baptized that tears filled my eyes as my heart was full of love and proudness for my sweet daughter. It was such a special day as Family gathered together to support her in this day as her Dad Baptized her and as he and her uncle Sifa,Uncle Brian and Grandpa Dastrup and Grandpa Peterson and Bishop Browning gave her a special blessing for her to recieve the Holy Ghost. What a wonderful day I will never forget.
Little late posting this post. Maddie turned 8 on Jan.13,2012.Turning 8 is such a special birthday!Maddie had a wonderful day, started with her specially made birthday breakfast of bacon, chocolate chip pancakes and syrup and whipcream( a favorite among all my kids for their birthday breakfast. Then Maddie and me got some springrolls from Harmons and went and saw "We bought a Zoo",did a little shopping at Claires. Then it was time for Maddies first Activity days meetings. She was so excited, then Maddie had a fun girly girl party.Had her cute neighborhood friends come over for a pj/pizza/movie party.Such fun! What a day!Happy Birthday Miss Maddie!Love you!
We had a wonderful Christmas and got spoiled! We have two of the most wonderful sets of Grandparents a family can ever have. They are so thoughtful and caring and take wonderful care of my little family. I unfortunetly had a cold the entire time I was in California for 8 days.=( But thanks to my mom-in-law who took such great care of me and my family ,Christmas was still great! We were able to celebrate Christmas with my parents before we left to California to spend Christmas with James's side of the family.I really do feel incredibly blessed to have not just one wonderful set of parents but two sets!We feel their love and care whenever we are around them.James and I can only hope that we can be that wonderful to our kids families. We hope our parents know how truely grateful and blessed we feel that they are our parents. They are wonderful examples to us and we love them with all our hearts.
